The smaller the tire the better for things like this. Some of these take a very long time to fill even a high volume bicycle tire.

The prices are getting low enough to keep one in every vehicle and with bicycle equipment. Thank you for the post.

Most important information on any of these battery powered items is battery capacity and how reliable that information appearsto be (source). Without that, every other piece of information about the device is secondary.

Especially true for a high draw device such as this.

Many vendors of these cheap "Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor" hide the battery capacity on purpose. Most of their batteries are about 3000mah or 4000mah. Battery capacity directly affects how many tires or cars can be inflated without a recharge.

Any one got recs for a pressure gauge? An accurate one.

I use an inflator (Ryobi) and I am unsure how accurate it is. It pumps well, and quickly, but I don't know if I trust the built-in reader.
Or do we know if the inflators at Costco are calibrated frequently and if those would be accurate?

I have a lot of inflators. But taking a chance on this random one specifically to throw in my pack while riding for bike tires along with a patch kit.

IMO: As these devices take quite a long time to charge up. Get one that also can be used while plugged into the car's lighter.

Anyone have actual long term experience with these? Specifically with putting say ~10-25psi in a low tire? Comparing to a Ryobi One+ 18V unit which takes ~10 min to air up a truck tire from <10psi (basically from flat) and still has plenty of battery power left.
So far these seem like something you'd use for bikes, motorcyles, a pool raft, a sports ball, etc and not really a good fit for vehicle equipment.
I see a lot of 'in for one' (my included) but not much (if any) shared experiences.

Which is why I will not buy one that doesn't have the ability to power from the car's DC 12v in case the battery is dead. All of these have a picture of what is included and if the picture doesn't have a cigarette lighter cable, I move along.
