I think it works on the non-attachment version as well that is a few bucks cheaper.

This should be changed, it's $350 for this deal, not $222. $222 is only if you return the free extra add-on battery. The way the first post reads is that it's $222 for the trimmer and you get a free add on, which would be an instant buy for me

Not exactly a hack. this is a free tool deal which comes out to $350 total. You need to buy both.

Capitalone has a spend $300 get $50 at HD

From what I gather, if you want to "hack", get the extra battery.
It'll come out to 222 when returned.
But I might go for the pruning chainsaw and keep it
