The XP46R is a heavy duty Coast rechargeable flashlight that stands out for very bright flood lighting and strong value at $20. It is all metal, feels well built, and can light up a whole backyard, with high mode lasting around three hours and turbo delivering a brief burst of extreme brightness. The beam focus is limited, so it behaves more like a flood light than a true spot beam. The battery is a proprietary Zithion X pack, though a 9 AAA cartridge exists for backup use without turbo. It is a compact, versatile carry light if you can find one in stock.
people who can grab the clearance deal in-store because multiple commenters reported finding units at $20 clearance (sometimes only a couple in stock) and called it a steal at that price.
homeowners who want a wide-area light for the yard because one commenter said it lights up their whole back yard and another said it can't focus much and mostly acts as a flood.
emergency/garage and car use buyers because commenters said they bought two for those purposes and like having a lifetime warranty.
buyers who are okay with short "turbo" bursts and longer High runtime because one commenter said Turbo is under a minute while High ran about 3 hours (and stayed only mildly warm).
buyers who want a rechargeable flashlight but don't mind using standard 18650 cells because commenters noted the battery situation is workable with 18650s (even if they may be easier to buy online or salvage).
buyers who specifically want a tight, narrow spotlight beam because commenters criticized the adjustable focus/zoom as limited-describing it as a "joke" and saying it doesn't provide enough narrow-focus beam.
buyers who are worried about battery replacement logistics because some commenters flagged the battery as proprietary (not common 18650/21700) and warned that if the built-in battery fails it could mean "surgery or trash."
buyers who rely on consistent in-store pricing because commenters said the deal varies by location-some stores had it on clearance and others showed regular price or even rang up higher than expected.
buyers who need long, sustained maximum brightness because commenters said Turbo is very short (around a minute or less) and the flashlight mostly functions as a flood rather than a continuously focused thrower.
