This 11 inch iPad Pro M2 stands out as a compact Pro tablet with a 120 hertz display, strong performance headroom, Face ID, and enough longevity for several more years of updates. The smaller size is praised for portability, especially compared with the heavier 12.9 inch model, and the price lands well below Apple trade in value. The main drawbacks are the 128 gigabyte storage limit and the fact that the 11 inch model uses a standard LED Liquid Retina screen, not mini LED or XDR. It is a compelling fit if you want Pro features in a lighter everyday size.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes, even with shipping, tax, and a Club membership, the total can still land around $440, and Apple trade-in values for this model have been cited at $430 to as high as $670. That makes the sale price especially strong if you can offset it with trade-in credit.

  • No. The 11-inch 2022 iPad Pro uses a standard LED-backlit Liquid Retina display with IPS technology, while mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR is reserved for the 12.9-inch model. That matters if you were expecting the brighter XDR panel or want to avoid that display type.

  • The 128GB model has about 115GB of usable storage after the system takes its share. That makes the base configuration tight if you keep large games, media, or lots of offline files.

  • Yes, the M2 iPad Pro should still have roughly 4 years of updates left. That gives it a long usable runway even though newer iPad Air and Pro models have faster chips or newer display tech.

  • Yes, it has Face ID for face unlock. That is one of the practical upgrades over many base iPads and makes unlocking and authentication faster.

Just a FYI Apple (on their website) is offering a $430 trade in credit for this model still so great deal being under the cost of their trade in value.

Google states: No, the Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (4th Generation, 2022) does not have a mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display. It features a standard LED-backlit "Liquid Retina" display with IPS technology, while the mini-LED technology was reserved for the 12.9-inch (6th Generation) model.

11" Pro (2022) Display: Standard LED Liquid Retina (600 nits max brightness).
12.9" Pro (2022) Display: Mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR (1600 nits peak HDR).

Thanks, OP!

I'm finally upgrading from my eighth generation base model iPad. This ought to be a substantial improvement.

Please note, if you have a Discover card, they are offering 5% cash back at warehouse clubs this month.

Ugh, this is so tempting. I have the max spec'd 12.9" model of this (2 TB storage, Cellular, 16 GB RAM) and love its mini-LED and huge screen, but sometimes it's just too big and heavy and find myself wishing I had the portability and "goldilocks" size of this 11" model. Agree that the 128 GB storage is a pretty significant downer (probably around only 115 GB actual capacity), but at this sub-$400 price, getting a Pro experience with still a blisteringly powerful M2 processor even in 2026, is hard to beat. If you've never had a Pro ipad and have only used a base or mini, I highly recommend getting one of these and seeing the 120 Hz Promotion display for yourself... just a world of difference vs. 60 Hz standard iPads' displays.

Come with M2 Processor and should receive updates for at least another 4 years. For comparison the iPad Air M4 worth $599 but should give you more updates and faster CPU but less quality camera.
$200 more this is no comparison. If you add another 200 or so you got the new iPad Pro

Tough choice - Silver or Space Gray?
It doesn't really matter at this point because they're both out of stock

This is a red-hot smoking deal. There's no reason this thing won't last you a LONG time yet considering the performance headroom still in these things.
Side note, I previously had a 11" pro and then upgraded to the 12.9" and I deeply regret it. This 11" version for me was a much better fit for portability/weight. Pair this thing with the thin keyboard and it can take you a LONG way.

I have a five-year old Ipad pro 2020 12.9". The battery's getting worse and I've been wanting to upgrade to M-processor and downgrade the screen to 11". This is a good deal for me.
Shipping + Tax + Club membership: $440 in total.
Gonna trade in the old one to Apple for $300. So $140 for an upgrade, this is pretty good.
Anyone knows the trade-in value for this M2 Ipad pro?
According to Apple's website the trade value is up to $670.

Again, may be too big for some, but 12.9" for $530 [samsclub.com] still available, and in both Space Gray and Silver.
