BJs is barely worth it if you have one locally. If you are planning on becoming a member just to shop online, it is probably not a good value.

Are Costco and Sam's Club generally considered to be better price-wise?
Generally yes, At one point I had all three and I found Sam's clubs to be generally cheaper than BJ's.

was the case earlier, pot-covd + inflation => costco usually wins for my needs, then Sams then BJs. The whole clipping coupons gets to be a PITA too.

I was very recently all 3 . Costco ain't bad but very inconvenient for me to get to personally. (I don't like the idea they want your pic on file for membership) I prefer Sam's club of the 3 . Sam's club if you shop instore you can often find better deals on things like steak and chicken close to expire marked down you can still freeze. I've also found more clearance at Sam's . Lastly Sam's rotisserie chicken is the best of the 3 imo I'd say it's the best anywhere. Bjs gas is usually a few cents cheaper I wouldn't say cheap enuf to go out of your way to. Bjs ymmv sells alcohol which can be convenient Sam's and Costco does not. I have made a bjs trip and only bought beer and fuel. I was not going to renew bjs however last week they had a 5$ expired account renew offer I couldn't pass up. You probably will not find an offer like that from Sam's or Costco.

I get the deal perfectly. But the title should spell it out, it currently says membership 1 year + $20 reward is $20. That is NOT true. It's $20 for the membership, then spend $60 in one order to get $20 reward. And the reason why this is nothing to write home about is:

1) in the past BJ's used to give you $20 in rewards just for joining effectively making it free THIS IS NOT FREE AND IS A SCAM TITLE!

2) Sams Club had a deal last year for $45 to join, get $45 in rewards.

Because someone chooses to not give full disclosure in their title about the specifics of the pricing means I get the deal perfectly, the OP does not. It shouldn't read that way, period.
So you feel that the OP didn't disclose that intentionally?? I knew exactly what the terms were when I first read the OP. If you spend money in BJ's anyway, why does it matter when you get the $20. reward. You seem to be the only one complaining. I went there just now and spent $166.xx, big deal. Write the OP a letter in the complaint dept. section, maybe you'll get an apology and feel better.

Berkley toilet paper is probably the worst product they sell. Stay away unless you want poop all over your hand since it doesn't hold together when wiping no matter how many layers you stack.
It depends which Berkeley toilet paper you buy. They have the premium ultra strong for $20 and on the package it says comparable to Charmin and IMO is exactly the same. I know there is a Berkeley soft and strong for $16.99 and that is poor quality and probably the one you are talking about. If you are still a member, try the Berkeley ultra strong in the red package.

Where did I say it was intentional. And since you aren't the OP. why don't you mind your own business? I know how a post title should read, this one is not accurate at all.

OP, spending $60 to GET a $20 reward s/b in the title. And you have to spend $60 in ONE ORDER. So you are laying out $80 with membership to get a $20 reward.
This isn't quite accurate either. You are laying out $80 for $60 worth of stuff and $20 rewards along with the membership, not laying out $80 for membership and $20 rewards.

'with' membership was meant to include both the $60 spend on items and the $20 membership fee to earn a $20 reward. You first have to spend the $80 total to earn the $20. You aren't laying out $60.

As I noted, it wasn't too, too long ago where you earned $20 in rewards just for buying the $20 membership, in effect being given $20 back to spend just for joining.

This arguing is how he/she (or both) builds up posts.....LOL. Nonsense complaining, now I'm doing it.
