Here is a deal on a pretty good mid tier laptop on the Lenovo VIP site. Not the craziest price ever but still a decent deal if you are in the market. The big selling point here is REMOVABLE ram along with a second SSD slot. It's very difficult to find something in this price range with USB-C charging, touchscreen, backlit keyboard swappable ram (up to 32 GB), and an extra SSD slot. The port selection is great with hdmi, 2 USB-C, 2 USB-A, headphone jack, and a micro SD card reader. The Ryzen 7 350 processor is very good for everday tasks and the new 400 series Gorgon point processors are basically the same thing so there is no reason to get the latest gen. The weakpoints are the lower resolution 1920 X 1200, 60Hz, 300 nit, 45% NTSC screen and the smaller 60 Whr battery so there are some trade-offs.
SPECS:
- Ryzen AI 7 350 Processor
- 16 GB DDR5 SODIMM (removable)
- 512 GB SSD (second slot available)
- 60 Whr Battery
- 1080p FHD RGB Infared Webcam with privacy shutter
- Ports: HDMI, 2x USB-C, 2x UBS-A, micro SD, headphone/mic jack
- Wifi 7 & Bluetooth 5.4
- 16″ WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS, 16:10 aspect ratio, 300nit, 60Hz, 45% NTSC, TÜV low blue light, touchscreen
- 4 lbs
- backlight keyboard with numberpad

Been a while since I've seen a "slim" laptop with upgradable ram. Nice if you still have a bunch of sticks from before it became another trading commodity.

I may or may not have some ram sitting around. Don't rob me. Thinking this would be a good laptop for my wife but battery may annoy her.

Probably not the best deal but you could sell the ram that comes with it to make it a bit cheaper. This was more so a post for all the people that I always say hard pass because the RAM is an upgradable. I'm sorry but soldered ram is what you will get most of the time on a laptops that aren't business grade or gaming. It's not necessarily a downside.
