This handheld bidet sprayer is valued for simple, effective toilet cleaning and a more thorough rinse than built in seat nozzles. The metal design is described as easier to keep clean, with adjustable spray intensity and angle, and the hose adds extra bathroom utility for rinsing the bowl or shower. The main drawbacks are splash risk, a learning curve, and very cold winter water. It feels like a practical, low fuss bathroom add on if those tradeoffs are acceptable.

  • The handheld sprayer can clean the toilet without scrubbing when used instead of a brush.

  • The hose attachment adds extra bathroom utility for cleaning beyond just the toilet bowl.

  • The sprayer design makes it easier to keep clean than under-seat bidet nozzles.

  • Adjustable spray intensity and angle can make the sprayer easier to use than plastic models.

  • The sprayer can cause splash or overspray on the hand and nozzle, requiring careful handling.

  • Cold winter water can be extremely cold and may numb during use.

  • The sprayer requires shutting off water at the wall because leaving it pressurized can lead to handle failure and flooding.

  • A learning curve exists because aiming it wrong can reduce cleaning results.

Omg! Hahahhaha! I def needed this laugh today, thank you! (I sincerely think this is like the funniest comment I've seen in the 10+ years I've been on SD!)
...I'd give you an infinite amount of reps if I could!
The funniest part is yelling down to your kid to turn on the water when you are done. The positive side is that it always puts a smile on your neighbors face!

Those things do get pretty nasty. Does it clean the nozzles, too?

I love bidets, but this design? Ehhhh seems like you'd get splash on your hand and the nozzle. Then just hang it back up? Eww?
This is the design used in Asia, or Vietnam at least. It is the standard there. AKA the "bum gun". I always thought it was more messy than the integrated seat ones but it is more simplistic.

Only thing that sucks about these is in the winter the water is extremely cold and will numb you.

Legit question for those who have never used a bidet:
When you use a bidet, how do you wipe the water off your booty without the paper falling apart?
Do you just sit there for 5 min?
Do they all come with fans?
