I agree that great/better deals exist on local marketplace for used units. I appreciate these deals, however, because I (like many) might not have the time/vehicle to buy it locally, and am a little weary of meeting strangers, and also appreciate the customer service/warranty.
Repped.

I've been in the market for a while, and though I was originally looking for something a little different, for this price I just could not pass by this machine. The free freight makes it even sweeter. Thanks for posting!

Wow, you've never owned Shop Fox or Grizzly, obviously. They are as good or better than Jet, Delta, and most of the other woodworking tool brands.
Everything I said is factual, you can look at the price history and reviews yourself. Just because they hiked the price up around Covid to near $1k doesn't make it a $1k drill press. Not everything that's made in China is poor quality, but this thing is old-school made-in-China and comparable to the other $300 floor drill presses on Amazon.
Seemed like a hot deal but a quick search suggests there's only 3 1/2" of spindle travel which sucks on a machine this size.
That's plenty. Longer spindle travels compound any spindle alignment issues. It's better to drill a few inches and adjust the table height or use an extender.
