Carl's Jr. Cali XL BOGO is a targeted Rewards offer with different prices showing up by account, including free, $1, $2, and $3 versions. The burger itself is huge, with roughly 7 ounces of meat per sandwich and patties just under a quarter pound each, and it can stack with gift card discounts. Flavor depends on the build, with extra classic sauce or grilled onions helping a lot. The main caveat is the uneven offer availability and pricing, so the exact value depends on what appears in your app.
Common Questions (5)
The price varies by account and region: some see BOGO free, others BOGO for $1, $2, or $3. In SoCal, redemptions included 2 Cali XL burgers for $5.99 plus tax at lunchtime, while Portland showed BOGO $1 Famous Stars instead.
The offer appears to be targeted and member-exclusive, so some accounts see it while others do not. It may show in the Rewards Dashboard or in an email, and reopening the app can make it appear if it is already on the account.
The Cali XL is very large, with about 7 oz of meat precooked per burger and patties slightly smaller than a quarter pound each. At around $6 for two, it is a strong value, though seasoning can be inconsistent.
It does not appear to transfer cleanly to Hardee's. The Hardee's version reportedly requires paying $1 for the second burger instead of getting it free.
It can stack with a 35% gift card discount, which lowers the out-of-pocket cost further. One redemption also swapped Swiss for American cheese without issue.
