Front porting and relatively compact size = perfect for a desktop or a small bedroom. Solid all-around performance and excellent bang-for-the-buck (unlike SVS, cough cough).
- 1" silk dome tweeter with wide-dispersion waveguide = smooth, accurate highs and extended high-frequency response
- 5-1/4" aramid-fiber woofer with oversized magnet and vented pole piece = punchy bass and midrange
- frequency response: 46-35,000 Hz = surprisingly decent bass for this size class!
- bass-reflex (ported) cabinet with front-firing port = flexible placement against a wall or bookshelf

Going from 4 to 6ohms didn't really do much in that regard ime.
In general, if you don't provide enough clean power, they may sound muddy.
As someone pointed out, they are this price often and that's for a reason.
