Remember the good old days when cases had front bay slots? Then came the gamer geeks and Hello Kitty playaz demanding neon and candy.

Check if your monitor has one, I just found out mine does and my speakers now switch with my monitor to sources based on HDMI.

yep this was a game changer for me. tho I just switched to an oled which doesn't have any space below the screen, but it still has an audio connecter in the back. can just use an extender if you like to take your headphone's cable with you

For real. Also this doesn't look like it has power, so it's a passive hub forget about charging stuff.

Add power for charging, headphone jack, and more USB-C and I'd be in

Silver correctly discounted for me at the final checkout page ($14.29). The discount was mentioned on the product page and automatically applied correctly. Might be YMMV though.

BTW for this type of thing, one time I bought one that used a USB-A to USB-A cable. Cursed. Most probably use USB-C now though anyway though.

It has an additional power port so you can do 18 watt stuff. Not terribly impressive but there's a use case for devices like this. I mean, I bought one, I'm the use case.

FYI, don't buy this to charge your devices. Yes, it can provide minimal power. But even when adding an external power supply, it only list support for a 10 W (5V/2A). This USB hub is intended to be used for data.

The intention of the power supply is, like the listing says, to provide stability. If you don't use one, then all 4 ports are sharing the power supplied by the PC. Imagine using this for a few miscellaneous devices, webcam, flash drive, wireless headset, USB to Ethernet, etc. Those devices combined may surpass the power supplied by the PC's one port. Devices might stop working. Or they might occasionally behave erratically as the power they can draw fluctuates.

Use one of these hubs with 4 low power draw devices and you may be fine. Especially if you are only actively using one or 2 devices at a time. But if you've got an old 10W USB charging brick and USB-A to USB-C cable, I'd recommend pairing it with this hub. It may reduce frustration down the line.
