Aiwa, a brand that I have not heard for over 20 years. I wonder anybody here actually knows who they are.
The Aiwa brand is no longer what it used to be. Nowadays it's just a name that is licensed. Aiwa US is different from Aiwa Japan which is different from Aiwa Brazil or Aiwa Latin America.
Aiwa is no longer a single company owned by Sony. Today, the brand is fragmented, with the main rights held by Japan-based Towada Audio (often operating as Aiwa Company Ltd), which revived the brand in 2017. Other regional rights and licensing agreements exist, including in Latin America (via Audio Mobile Americas) and North America (via Sakar International)
