I saw the 16" flexvolt DeWalt chainsaw DCCS670B at my local home depot in Pennsylvania on clearance for $145. It's an in-store only deal so check on the app to see what your local store is offering.

This used to go on sale at HD several times a year for $99. I have one of these and love it and for $99 was a great buy. I dont think I would go 149 for it though

Store it on its side, oil cap up. Never leaks.

Came to say this too. I have 2 and want another. BTW: $150 for free shipping so this is $8.74 shipping plus tax too!

Mine leaks no matter what orientation I store it at. Unless I am using it again the next day, I now just drain it. I also use canola oil, which is a totally cromulent lubricant - bar & chain oil has some nasty stuff in it, and I don't want that stuff everywhere.

My 18" dewalt and my Stihl both "leak", in that there will be an oil stain wherever they sat. So they are stored on cardboard. But to be clear, this thing will completely empty itself if it sits a few days, potentially getting into parts of the motor and on the battery.
Edit: it's also weird that the couple of us who have warned based on our real-world experience have earned downvotes. Uh, I'm sorry our saws are different from yours I guess?!

Keep one in my truck all the time. Handy when you need a quick cut. Mine doesn't leak and make a mess.

I wish you were the only one with that issue but it seems pretty common. I found a few people complaining about this in their reviews as well as a handful of people on r/Dewalt as well
