These DEWALT concealer goggles are valued for full coverage and a sturdier feel than sunglass style safety glasses, with enough room to wear over prescription glasses. They are also useful for short cutting jobs and other flying debris, and the storage case is worth adding. The main drawback is fogging, which is repeatedly described as poor or nonexistent in real use, especially during longer wear or with a dust mask. Fit can also be tight on wider or larger faces, and the lenses scratch fairly easily.

Common Questions (5)

  • They are not reliably anti-fog in real use. Several reports say they fog within minutes or only stay clear briefly, especially in still air or during longer wear; a few users say they stay clear for short cutting sessions or with good airflow.

  • A few workarounds are mentioned: wiping soapy water inside the lens, using FogX or an OptiFog cloth, or applying a gel inside the lens. These can improve clarity, but fogging can still return in humid or dead-air conditions.

  • Yes, they can fit over prescription glasses and are comfortable for long wear. The full-coverage design is a reason some prefer them over sunglass-style safety glasses, especially when extra side protection is needed.

  • They can be tight on wider or larger faces and may not seal well at the nose bridge. They also may not work well with a normal dust mask, and one report says they do not fit some Asian faces well.

  • The $9.99 price is close to the regular price and Home Depot is reported at $8.99 everyday, or $8.99 with military discount. That makes this deal only marginally better than common pricing.

One of the easiest way to make goggles not fogged up is to wipe some soapy water on the glasses.
Spit also works

I've used these for several years. They've NEVER been anti-fog, so I'm not sure why they try and market them that way. IF you have some decent wind, they'll stay fog-free, but on a dead-air day, they're definitely going to fog up on you. They also scratch fairly easily. But I haven't found any other full-coverage goggles like these that I like better.

Definitely safer than sunglass type safety glasses, but mine do get fogged up.

Discount is not deal worthy in my opinion. I also prefer larger ones in case I need my glasses under them and dont really need them to be fully sealed all around unless I'm trying to protect eyes from dust and debris falling from above. Those big lab goggle lookin ones are my favorites but good ones hard to find.
I actually bought these specifically to go over my glasses, and they work great. They're comfortable to wear for a long time, and I've never had any issues with fog. I like them enough I bought a second pair to keep with my tools inside, and I also wear them with my motorcycle helmet because I have fog issues with the face shield there.

I think $10 is actually the regular price, not $13, but I'm super happy with them.

I have had tiny pebbles or various stuff richochet off my cheek, while using the weed wacker sometimes. I wear protective glasses, but once in a while something does fly up under the glasses. This goggle style would be more protective. You only get one set of eyeballs in your lifetime, protect them well !

I've had two incidents this winter with stuff flying behind my standard safety glasses and it was a bit scary. Both times eye doctor said Im ok. Im still worried about stuff getting into the vent holes of this though.
