The reviews are pretty good. I have the thermopro and if I am like 30-40 feet away the bluetooth gets disconnected and beeps like a mad man. Anyone have experience with this?

I have this one. Purchased back in December. We have used it for a full turkey and several times for pork tenderloin. The smart functions works perfectly to continue the cooking process during the rest phase after taking the meat off the grill. Just about perfect to the degree.

The model you linked is the P1. This is the G1. The G1 is better as it has the Pro on the thermometer which I believe means it uses sub 1 g technology for better connection. Also states that the G1 can handle 752 and the P1 claims 572. Not sure about max temps as the actual thermometer material and design looks identical

I have the Typhur Gold lite which is the exact same thermometer. Used it half a dozen times in the oven. Very happy with it. Tested it in an ice bath and boiling water and all 5 sensors are spot on. The smart cooking I'm not so sure about. It wanted me to take a pork loin out of the oven at 123 degrees for a final temp of 145. I have my doubts carry over would have been enough to get it there . And I highly doubt it has a feature like Safe Temp that Combustion inc uses to decide if meat has been at a temp long enough to kill most bacteria and can be below the recommended minimum.

It would be nice if you could add another probe in the future.

Do we need Bluetooth meat thermometers in 2026?
As a dad with two young kids who want to play as I am grilling. Yes. It's a QoL improvement that's been worth it. I can push my kids on the swing while keeping an eye on dinner.

Scooped one! My Meater Pro has been debatable recently.

As opposed to 1873? I'm not a fan of everything being connected but thermometers are a pretty useful use case.

No you don't. I prefer to tie a 100ft copper wire to my ankle because "2026."

I hate every random thing being "smart/connected" as much as the next guy, but in something you stick in a box and walk away from but need to monitor, seems like the perfect device to be bluetooth.
