Rao's Made for Home chicken noodle and Italian wedding soups are valued for their ingredients and the meatballs in the wedding soup, with the Italian Sausage and Potato with Cannellini Beans variation also carrying the coupon. The deal can drop lower on a six jar bundle, where the coupon applies to every jar. The main drawback is Amazon fulfillment risk for glass jars, with reports of broken, opened, dented, or missing items and occasional coupon or Subscribe and Save glitches. A decent pantry pick if the shipping holds up.
Common Questions (5)
Glass jar shipping is risky here: jars and bottles have arrived dented, smashed, opened, or even missing, and some orders were refunded after damage or non-delivery. Packaging has varied from thin boxes with little paper to tighter bubble wrap, so delivery condition is inconsistent.
Changing the delivery address can erase the coupon, and changing the Subscribe & Save quantity can make the price jump back to $3.97. The deal also will not deliver to an Amazon locker, so checkout settings matter.
The Italian Wedding Soup is specifically praised for the meatballs, and the soup is described as having great ingredients. That makes it the better pick if you want the meatball-heavy version rather than the chicken noodle.
The soup is listed at 720 mg sodium per jar. That is roughly 1/8 teaspoon of salt for the whole jar, so the amount may be reasonable depending on how many servings you split it into.
The 20% coupon applies only to the first jar on the single-jar listing, while the rest price at the regular Subscribe & Save rate. A 6-jar bundle can make the coupon apply to all 6 jars, dropping the price to about $2.58 each.

While I like this soup, I can't imagine taking this risk and then having to take photos of the mess in order to get a refund from Amazon.

Agree, had last month 6 Rao's sauces make it safe and then had 6 other Raos sauces failed twice during shipping before they even got delivered. Then got an auto refund.
