Great monitor, as long as you don't mind IPS displays. Awesome sRGB color accuracy and plenty bright. Wouldn't recommend it if you want it for HDR, though, as 600 nits peak brightness results in pretty weak HDR. I just don't bother using it.

Not worth getting this. The monitor is discontinued by dell and even though it comes with 3 year warranty, they'll replace it with whatever they have in stock if you run into a issue within the warranty period. It's also overpriced for a 4 year old monitor

I wonder if this has a higher baseline brightness. Hmmm
I was at Costco yesterday and say the Oled version and I looked it up, it had a baseline brightness of 250 nits and up to 1000 in HDR.

Not worth 500

You could get one with better specs for that price, like this one from asus at 530 usd but with way more features (dual mode, usb c input with pd)

Or this one from msi at 400 usd which has dual mode but no usb c

2024 model that is discontinued and was this price 2 years ago.
There are dual mode IPS 32" 4k monitors for cheaper now. Plus $500 puts you in OLED range if you like OLED. It easily puts you in mini led range which will be way better than this monitor.

There's been a lot of inflation in 2 years, and while I don't disagree that this isn't a great deal a lot of those entry-level tech bumps kinda suck unfortunately. You check a box and get mini-led or OLED and the pixels have issues, text has stripes, backlight quality issues, etc. like you checked a box but end up with anyway worse experience.

They sent you a refurbished one that they have available. I had one died on me few months ago that I purchased through BestBuy amd they sent me a refurbished monitor. Not the same monitor I bought but that was the case.
