Great game. FYI Switch 2 version is a game key card but comes with improvements to gameplay, visuals, and how big your town can be. Not as cut and dry as some of the other Switch vs Switch 2 situations

Not everyone have a pc to play it on plus console have quick resume. Also switch/switch 2 are portable. You could also go for steam version if you have a handheld gaming pc but that's more niche

I'd assume they are asking for themselves and already have a PC and other choices, which in that case I'd say no, just get the steam version.

Also as mentioned, the Switch 2 version doesn't even include the game on the cart, just a key to download it.

The Switch 1 version actually includes the game you're paying for.
