Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 is a big, flashy action RPG that still feels fun, with standout battles, summons, and the full remake experience. The main game lands well, though the story expansion is described as weaker than the core campaign. Storage is the biggest practical issue, since the download is large and the cartridge is treated like a key card, so a sizable SD card or digital purchase makes more sense. This edition also lacks the MTG pack that came with the Day One Edition, which makes the bundle less appealing.

  • FF7 fans who want the main remake experience on Switch 2 because commenters say the game is "super fun," with the story expansion being the weaker part but the overall gameplay experience "pretty awesome and a lot of fun."

  • Players planning to download multiple large Switch 2 games because community members recommend a 512GB-1TB SD expansion card for FF7 Remake + Rebirth (about ~200GB total) and note that flash storage is expensive, so having enough space matters.

  • People who already play modded FF7 on PC and want to do a modded replay before starting Remake because one commenter said they're replaying FF7 with the 7th Heaven mod "before I attempt 7th remake."

  • Buyers expecting the MTG pack included at this price because commenters say this Switch 2 version "doesn't come with the MTG pack," which was valued around ~$7, making it worse than the previous deal.

  • Switch 2 owners who only want to buy a small SD card like 256GB because one commenter warns it filled up quickly and still couldn't fit 6-7 games, citing large installs (e.g., ~77GB, ~55GB, ~70GB).

  • People who are confused by "pre-order" listings for a version that's already been out because a commenter questioned why it's being sold as a pre-order when the Switch 2 version is said to have been out since Jan 22.

This version DOESNT come with the MTG pack (valued at ~$7) so it's far worse than the previous deal.

And if you spent 7 dollars on the dlc then you'd still be a couple bucks under retail

Why is this a pre-order? The Switch 2 version has been out since January 22. What am I missing?

Super fun game. Grew up with the original and have played it many times. Just finished this new remake last night actually. Some of the expansion on the story is kind of lame but it's overall pretty awesome and a lot of fun

There was a Day One Edition with the MTG pack and this Standard Edition.

Digital was the way to go since you got the original ff7. But I'm not sure if they're still running that deal

With the sizes of these games requiring download, you're going to need the SD expansion card

Yup. Honestly though, you'd probably want a 512GB-1TB card if you eventually want the entire trilogy downloaded along with other games. FF7 Remake and Rebirth together clock in at ~200GB already.

Unfortunately, prices on flash memory are just so high now. AI sucks.

P.S. Looks like the digital version is on sale for $24 right now on the Nintendo eShop. Considering this cartridge is just a key-card anyway, probably better to just buy digital.

The cover art to this cartridge sure brings back memories though. Gives me warm fuzzies🤗

I would not get thev256gb card. I bought one because it was $40. Now it's full and I still can't fit 6-7 games I have on it. The only three large games I have are: WWE 2k25 at 77gb. Skyrim Anniversary 55gb.
NBA 2k26 at maybe 70gb. Everything else is 25 and below.
