This version DOESNT come with the MTG pack (valued at ~$7) so it's far worse than the previous deal.

Why is this a pre-order? The Switch 2 version has been out since January 22. What am I missing?

There was a Day One Edition with the MTG pack and this Standard Edition.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Switch 2 is a big, flashy action RPG that still feels fun, with standout battles, summons, and the full remake experience. The main game lands well, though the story expansion is described as weaker than the core campaign. Storage is the biggest practical issue, since the download is large and the cartridge is treated like a key card, so a sizable SD card or digital purchase makes more sense. This edition also lacks the MTG pack that came with the Day One Edition, which makes the bundle less appealing.

  • The battle system lets you summon space lasers to attack opponents and change the weather.

    kungwill

  • The game experience is described as very fun overall, with the main remake feeling awesome and enjoyable.

    Brettski

  • The cartridge setup may be treated like a key-card, so buying digital can reduce storage friction for large downloads.

    aerischan

  • This Switch 2 version reportedly omits the MTG pack that was included with a Day One Edition.

    Vimieaerischan

  • The game's large download size can require an SD expansion card, and a 256GB card may fill up quickly.

    Macgyver2484IndigoScent3469

  • The listing is questioned because the Switch 2 version is said to have been out since January 22 while it is still being sold as a pre-order.

And if you spent 7 dollars on the dlc then you'd still be a couple bucks under retail

Super fun game. Grew up with the original and have played it many times. Just finished this new remake last night actually. Some of the expansion on the story is kind of lame but it's overall pretty awesome and a lot of fun

Digital was the way to go since you got the original ff7. But I'm not sure if they're still running that deal

With the sizes of these games requiring download, you're going to need the SD expansion card

Yup. Honestly though, you'd probably want a 512GB-1TB card if you eventually want the entire trilogy downloaded along with other games. FF7 Remake and Rebirth together clock in at ~200GB already.

Unfortunately, prices on flash memory are just so high now. AI sucks.

P.S. Looks like the digital version is on sale for $24 right now on the Nintendo eShop. Considering this cartridge is just a key-card anyway, probably better to just buy digital.

The cover art to this cartridge sure brings back memories though. Gives me warm fuzzies🤗

I would not get thev256gb card. I bought one because it was $40. Now it's full and I still can't fit 6-7 games I have on it. The only three large games I have are: WWE 2k25 at 77gb. Skyrim Anniversary 55gb.
NBA 2k26 at maybe 70gb. Everything else is 25 and below.
