The goal is to get by with the current DRAM price fixing. I doubt anyone would want to go crazy with an ITX build.
I bought this same board from NewEgg back in 2023 when I built my nephews a PC for Xmas and it was this same price then. It's a pretty decent little mini-ITX board that def gets the job done. Not sure if I would call this a deal, but the best part a/b is you won't have to worry a/b the board burning up your CPU, lol...
still in stock at newegg, decent deal for ITX at the price
decent budget CPU (if you are adding a graphics card) is Ryzen 5 5500 for $69.99 at microcenter, includes a cooler
for a CPU with on-chip graphics, you might be able to snag a used 5500gt or even a (discontinued) 5600g for around a hundred bucks on eBay.
New 5500GT seems to run $130. 5600GT at $160 doesnt make much sense when you can get a used 5700G (8 core vs 6) around that cost. or used 3rd/4th gen ryzens if budget is tight

I remember this at $79 at one point (Open box) at Newegg. This price is decent, if new. They usually sold the A520M-ITX version around this price. Worthwhile in getting this at below $100.
Too bad they've raised the price on AM4 processors (apart from the 4500, 5500) to over $140 on average. I'd pair this with a 5700X and some cheap DDR4 3200

Under normal circumstances I would agree - but if your goal is to make an ITX build on extreme budget - this would fit the bill. I can snatch up a solid ITX case under $50 new or used. I can snatch up a decent AM4 processor for around $30 to $60, I have seen 16gb and even 32gb of DDR4 on Marketplace for sup $40. etc etc - a couple of spare parts here and there and a solid budget build takes shape - hell I am looking at this board to make a budget build for a niece of mines in college who needs a desktop but nothing that rips.
Hate this is where we are at BUT for the chance to make her a lunchbox sized PC build and take that in my carry on when I go visit - yes please! Obviously YMMV we all have different needs and purposes If I can find similar in AM5 I will jump all over it (have not yet though dollar for dollar with current inflated prices)
