Is this a good deal. I am looking for a router to use as an access point in my work shop. Right now I have a simple range extender antenna for just 2.4g on the back of the house.

I am running a cat 6 cable to the workshop next week.
Appreciate any suggestions on what I need.

If you just want an AP get any $0 to $40 and ask google gemini how to set it up as a dumb AP then follow the instructions

I use one of the linkses from the $10 woot deal

Yeah, other guy is right. This is overkill for a simple access point. Running a cat6 is a great step though. This router can definitely be an AP, but it's meant for more.
