Searched Slickdeals and saw the last related post to this was Feb 20. I think this might be a new targeted segment for marketing campaign. Email title says "A $5 certificate just for you, [name]". I NEVER get these deals except for once last year. This is the first time I've ever received an email for it, too. It is unusual because I have email newsletters turned off. Every time I see this on SD, I check the Best Buy app. When I have the certificate, it shows up on my BB account profile as an award. It says it expires March 29 this time.

Also, the order I placed for a clearance item got cancelled and I never got the $10 cert back. Customer support told me since these are promotional certs they will not refund but since my order was canceled because it was OOS and not my fault she asked me to place a new order and she will refund $10 back which she did.
