What is this equivalent to, in terms of the iPad performance-wise?

We had 256gb rom in smartphones 11 years ago why are these manufacturers pairing new technology with outdated specs.
It's to get people to buy a new one next year.

This has sd card support.
That said, I'm still rocking my s7+ 5G and it works amazingly still.

I just got an iPad Air M3 11 inch 128GB WiFi + Cellular for $518 open box from Best Buy. To me that is a better deal but not necessarily equivalent probably more about what ecosystem you are invested in

I paid this much for the S9 Ultra directly from Samsung in 2024. What kinda nonsense price is this?

But you probably traded something in. I think this is a decent price with no trade in.

That is including the price of the device I traded in, which was the S8. So, definitely not a decent price.

I've been on iOS forever so yeah, it's hard to switch—but let's be honest, Samsung gives you way more for your money. More features, more freedom, and you're not locked into Apple's ecosystem. But I'm an Apple guy. 17 pro max and newest iPad Air.
Yes I'm trying to make that switch. Because in less than four years. No more updates etc. sick of paying that. Just saying.

What does that mean to you... SD card support. You can't install apps on it, cause it will run just too slow.

I feel it is good if you download movies and put them on the SD card... but that is it, and who downloads anymore when you can stream so easily.

I think you are clueless.

Did you know that Samsung devices last year were the most vulnerable? Do you know that a very large percentage of updates never actually make to a Samsung device because of One UI? Did you know that when google releases an update that Samsung decides to push to their phone... it could be like six months later, that is, for six months your phone was vulnerable even though google patched it.

The amount of bloatware between the Tab S9 and the Tab S11 is like 300% more... the point is Samsung is getting worse every year.

And what does more features mean? Besides Dex... which to me is a waste of time.... any feature you want you can usually find with a third party app.

There is no Android tablet that is decent and offers you proper updates. The only tablet that gives you updates on a timely fashion is the Pixel Tablet but it is like 4 years old.

I personally have this Tab S9, I gave it to my kid and I purchased the ZTE Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet (sold out world wide) for myself.

If I was going to buy a tablet TODAY... I would buy either the Chinese Version or the International Version of the Honor Magic Pad 4.... (this tablet right now IMHO, is the best tablet in the world to buy).

The Honor Magic Pad 4... has OLED screen that does 2400 nits (brightest OLED screen on any tablet... the next most bright was a 1800nit Hauwai and a bunch of tablets that can do 1600nits. It has the SD 8 Gen 5 elite Chip. It is 12.3" in size. And it sells for around the same price as this tablet in China and more for the international version. This tablet just came out a few weeks ago.

My mom plays very simple games on an old Galaxy Tab 2 but it isn't compatible with some newer games and it doesn't seem to be accepting a charge anymore. It does not need cell service as she has WiFi. Any good recommendations? I'm thinking this should be $100 or less? Doesn't have to be a brand name.

You can spend $30 more for the S10+ Open Box at BestBuy, but YMMV. If you get Open Box Excellent, you can get it shipped, but then the price jumps to $651 instead of $525 in Fair condition.

Oh, and I should have noted they also have the S9 (128 GB, not 256 GB) Open Box starting at $293, YMMV. This model does not have a shippable Excellent option, unfortunately.

I'm not the guy you quoted, but I'd like to share my thought on the SD card. It frees up space on the main storage. I put videos and PDF files on the SD card. So I don't have to stream, because stream needs access to the internet. Some people prefer stream. Some don't. Let them choose. Give people the choice. Not take it away.
