Most Atari games were bad back in the day. But when you bought a game with all your money you played it and mastered it because that's what we did.

Perhaps it's due to the regular 2600+ having wired controllers and the Pac-Man 2600+ having wireless. Some Pac-Man 2600+ reviews complain about controller lag. I have not experienced it with the wireless joystick though. Also the controller (wired or wireless) is pretty stiff at first, which some reviewers say makes games like pac-man with precise cornering more difficult to play. I don't have pac-man so I can't confirm that. (I have the regular 2600+ and bought a separate wireless controller.)
