This adjustable dumbbell stand is mainly valued for making heavy lifts safer and easier on the back by keeping 60 plus pound dumbbells off the floor. The V shaped cradle helps with presses and drop sets, and it also speeds up weight changes while reducing bending, kneeling, and awkward returns to the floor. It fits several adjustable dumbbell lines, including Rep QuickDraw and FitRX XL, though some setups need a bent lip or minor tray overlap. The main tradeoff is that the listed 160 pound limit may be tight for heavier pairs, and the open rack can be a concern in a shared workout space.

  • people doing frequent drop sets with 50-60 lb adjustable dumbbells because the stand makes weight changes faster and reduces the need to kneel or reach down to the floor each time

  • home gym owners using Rep Fitness QuickDraw adjustable dumbbells because it fits them with a simple lip adjustment and makes it easier to return weights to the cradle without lifting them as high

  • lifters who regularly have to pick up heavy dumbbells (60+ lbs) from the floor because using the stand can reduce how often you lift those weights off the ground each set and may help protect the lower back

  • buyers who want a safety-focused setup for dumbbells because the weights can't just roll off and must be lifted up first, which also helps reduce tripping hazards from weights on the floor

  • people with limited space who want to organize gear around their dumbbells because the stand setup can include storage underneath (like kettlebells) and hanging accessories like a weight vest

  • households where small children sometimes access the workout area because the stand can give dumbbells more potential energy if they get into the area, which could seriously injure little people

  • owners of FitRX XL adjustable dumbbells if you're trying to stay within the stand's listed capacity because the combined weight (180+ lbs) is above the stand's 160-lb limit even though some commenters think it may still tolerate it

  • people who need a stand that fits FitRX XL dumbbells without any fit issues because one commenter said the cheaper FitRx SmartRack option was too small for their XL dumbbells

  • buyers who want a sturdier, more feature-complete stand with extras like casters and weight storage because a commenter who paid about twice the price for an eisenlink low stand said it had sturdier build quality and those added features

Is the privilege to put your adj dumbbells on a rack like this over have them lying around on the floor worth $93?

Depends on how much weight you're using. It's not pleasant at all to lift, let's say, 60+ lbs off the floor every single set. Your lower back will thank you if you have something like this.

Sweet, I've been looking at these for my FitRX XL adjustable dumbbells, but couldn't stomach the price. Hopefully they're compatible, their combined weight of 180+ lbs is above this stand's listed limit but probably well within tolerance. Thanks for sharing!

lol such an open ended question..

Answer: You'll survive without it.. I guess

Like the person above said. Would suck having to deadlift 120lb everytime you want to shoulder press a pair of 60lb dumbbells. Then having to gently set it back down on the floor.

This v shape design is nice though especially for powerblocks. Won't have to lift the dumbbell out of the cradle as high.

Recently got the eisenlink low stand for twice this price, but that also has sturdier build quality with casters and weight storage. Looks nice too.

Also, if small children sometimes find their way into your workout space, this just gives the dumbbells a lot of potential energy that could seriously injure little people.

This thing is fantastic. A year ago I dropped/shattered my cheap dumbbells and decided it was time for an upgrade. This fits Rep QuickDraw nicely, just bend the back edge back. Rep has a better stand that looks similar, but it also costs 3x.

I can't imagine someone who lifts weights thinking a 120lb deadlift is a challenge.
Well.. Whether it's challenging or not isn't the point. It's the annoying aspect of it.

I can't imagine someone who lift weights thinking the only value in a dumbbell rack is to avoid deadlifting.

The main point of the rack is to improve safety. Or at least one of the main points. The weights cannot just roll off; they have to be lifted directly up first. A kid would be much more likely to get hurt tripping over weights on the floor. Also, keep little kids away from the gym.

Lol who knows, maybe someone deadlifted a milion pounds beforehand and doesn't want to do it again just to shoulder press.

I just use a dining bench for my PowerBlocks. Half the price, and you have room for your towel, water bottle, phone, etc.
