No Amber glass may make oil rancid. There is a reason most olive oils are in dark bottles. That's my only concern

Lol. That's what he said. He said, "No amber glass may make oil rancid." It's strange wording. He should have said, "Not being amber glass may make oil rancid." Or maybe it was a typo and he meant to say, "non-amber." Either way, his second sentence made it clear (no pun intended) that this not being amber glass could be a bad thing.

What is so special about this compared to oil dispensers on Amazon for similar price of $9-$10? Just because of the inflated MSRP and accompanying coupon? Don't get duped into buying just because you think you are getting a sale. Even the other ones have: dark green bottle, anti-slip, and anti-clog for the same price.

This glass oil sprayer is mainly valued for giving a fine spray, a pour option, and a cleaner way to use less oil for pans and air fryers. The amber glass and better looking materials stand out versus plastic caps, and the bottle is described as working well at around $8 to $9. The main caution is the wide, flat spray pattern, which offers less tight control than an aerosol sprayer. Clear glass also raises storage concerns for oil, so keeping it out of direct sunlight matters.

Common Questions (4)

  • It is amber glass. The darker glass helps block UV light, which can help keep oil from going rancid; clear glass is less ideal for long-term oil storage, especially in direct light.

  • Yes. It has 3-in-1 spray, stream, and pour functions, and it can be used for a quick spray on pans or to pour when you need more oil. Several comments also note it helps use less oil overall.

  • Similar oil sprayers are available for about $8-$10, including 2-packs around $16 and other single bottles at similar prices. The main difference called out here is the amber glass and better-looking materials, so the value depends on whether that matters more than buying the cheapest comparable option.

  • The spray pattern is wider and flatter than an aerosol can's tight, round spray. That gives less pinpoint control, but it still works well for coating pans and air-fryer food.

don't fill it full of oil make sure is out of direct sunlight like against the wall. Shouldn't go rancid if it's used up before. But yeah no idea why isn't dark glass all the time for "oil".

You just described a majority of products posted to this website. My guess is this one is being promoted by SD.

It has mostly good reviews on Amazon.

Almost EVERYTHING on AZ these days have mostly good reviews! If you look at the reviews for most items (say 75%) its amazing that so many of them have 4 1/2 Star ratings, even for cheap, junk Chinese items, which is mostly what AZ sells these days.

Take AZ reviews with a grain of salt, because most of them are bogus!

Interested in something like this to replace the aerosol cooking spray cans. Does this thing actually work well or does it get clogged and nasty easily?
I have a different one, they one they compare it to in the pictures. The only downside for me, is that I feel like I have more control with the aerosol due to the spray pattern. Aerosol is round and tight pattern. This one is wide and flat. I wish it had a different spray pattern but I still like it.

Main difference is materials look much better in this compared to all the other plastic caps but mot people prefer amber glass to keep oil from going bad. There is one from brand Gelibo that appears to be the same as this one with amber bottle, but it's $22. There are 2-packs at $16 from brands YARRAMATE, CXINYI and TrendPlain with plastic caps that look exactly the same (not same as this, but same among them) and all have good reviews, my guess is all of those came from the exact same factory.

I won't comment on this specific oil sprayer (or whether it's worth it over the other $8-10 ones), but I absolutely love my oil sprayer. It's great for a quick spray of oil on a pan before cooking, you can use it to pour when you need more, and overall I feel like I haven't had to use as much when I'm cooking with oil since I only need a quick spray. Even for things like fries coming out of the air fryer are better after a quick spray.

Finally got one of these over Christmas and love it. Easily Pays for itself over and over not having to buy the one-time-use spray cans of oil.
