These Aootek solar motion lights are best known for easy outdoor path and stair lighting, with motion sensing and decent brightness when they work. Long runs are possible, especially on the larger button on the back version, and sealing the seam between the solar panel and housing with silicone or similar caulk can help. The smaller front button version has repeated reports of water intrusion, dead units, and sensors that stop turning on automatically. A few sets have lasted years in snow, storms, and winter weather, so durability seems to depend heavily on the version and sealing.
Some units have continued working for about a year despite storms and outdoor exposure.
Sealing the seam between the solar panel and light housing can improve long-term performance.
Deck and fence installations have reportedly kept motion lighting working for months to multiple years.
Sealed newer versions without back access screws have reportedly avoided the slow dying seen in older designs.
The larger button-on-bottom design has reportedly lasted around a year and a half for some setups.
Water intrusion has reportedly caused lights to die within weeks or after only a couple months.
Some units reportedly fail even after replacement, with electronics appearing bone dry when opened.
Smaller newer models have reportedly shown high failure rates, including dead units and no automatic dark activation.
Promo codes have reportedly failed to apply during checkout, and the price has reportedly increased after the deal.

I took them apart and they were bone dry! Appears to be electronics and not battery related.
Bought a set and will try to work on setting them up. Fell yesterday and a little unstable as always.
The older ones with no side lights and a screwed on back are slowly dying.
