With their app you can view the live feed from the camera and start and stop recording. I used it in Galapagos to lower my camera into an enclosure to the nose level of a tortoise to capture some video.

it's probably overkill. might be much cheaper with surveillance camera

theres a printer attachment this takes some good photos if you wanted to use it as a digicam it has some leica software i believe
