You end up downloading the whole game but it only unlocks th parts you purchase. In the days of limited ssd space it was also a way to keep the game front and center on the pc.

Good thing I decided to look, I've already bought and played this game. It's in my Blizzard account. I hate that there is really no centralized way of seeing what games you own.

But I hate even more that they keep re-using the CoD and MW names.

THE best and most polished COD. They could re-release this every year and charge $60 and it'd still be leagues better than the annual slopware they release now.

The Call of Duty games have gone on sale at the same prices every time for nearly 10 years now.. they never go below $20. I'm surprised to see this sold for $6, seems really odd.
This game was okay, I liked 2 and 3 a lot better.
Also, this game came out in 2022, not 2023. It was released on Steam in 2023 when Activision decided to go back to releasing CoD games on Steam after doing it exclusively on Battle.net for several years.

They should have made a decent single player version, not worth online playing, look to Far Cry 5 as the best model to follow, it has the winning formula.
