I'm in, purchased.

Just to be sure everyone understands - People/Pets/Plants MUST BE VACATED from the space when this is in use. The ozone it produces displaces oxygen and can possibly KILL many living things.

This thing is a monster just fair warning. I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm just used to ozone machines that make it gently. This thing makes so much in a small amount of time, just make sure your no where near this thing when it's running. And properly air out when you're done. Close your nose when you walk into the room to turn it off and walk away to let it air out. Or better yet, extension cord and surge protector switch or connect it to a WiFi smart plug to remotely turn it on.

Would this work to get a musty smell out of a car's A/C?
Because the air conditioner sucks in outside air you might have to place the ozone generator near the air inlet under the hood and leave the fan running for the AC. I can't imagine that it would take very long but just be careful about not breathing it in. It might be worth asking the customer service people directly. I have one of these and they are very responsive and informative.

You can just buy any UV light, UV light will generate ozone while in use and the light is also sanitizing!
UV only works in small spaces that the air passes through to sanitize . Ozone deodorizes the air and more

Nothing like some ozone to kill odors. Just not good to breath in until dissipated.

Could this get a stubborn cat pee smell out of the basement? I have a small corner that, years later, just can't defunk.
I think so, though I won't swear by it. Had cat Pee on carpet, and while I did do a LOT of work prior to minimize the smell/clear the room, this was the final step after 3-4 intense carpet cleanings. There was still something there afterwards, but it was greatly reduced, almost gone. More cleaning SEEMS to have solve the issue after I ran it, so for $20 dollars I'd give it a tr., Though again, might take more cleaning afterwards but it will be greatly reduced at least in my experience.

I have this exact same Basvacsh ozone generator that I bought after seeing it on slick deals a while ago. I use it all the time. My house was built in 1915 and has an attic and a basement. I live in a very wet area. It has been a lifesaver. Finally, the musty smells are going away. You, of course, have to follow the instructions but the customer service from this company is phenomenal. And, the free warranty they give you is, bar none, absolutely excellent. Thanks for the post and the comments.
If you do not remove the source of moisture/water intrusion, it will be a temporary fix.

Hey, I confess, I never thought about putting the air conditioner on recirculate. I am definitely going to give that a try because my AC smells musty. Thanks for your post!!
