I have these. I definitely wouldn't call them "blackout", as light leaks through the fabric, but for $10 they work well enough!

The product description clearly lists "85% to 99% light impedance". Why would you expect that this means blackout in a bedroom window in daylight ? I have these on a south & street facing window - at nighttime, this blocks out almost all light including a bright street light across the road. It doesn't substitute for a eye mask if 100% darkness is what you want or need to fall asleep.

Of course cracks or space between the fabric and the window frame will allow light through. but ... they call them a 'blackout curtain" in their product title, and I think a reasonable person would believe "blackout" to mean absolutely no light passes through the actual material.
