If you are considering the Kindle colorsoft over the Kindle paperwhite, the colorsoft can be a little laggy.
My brother downgraded to the paperwhite due to the lag.

Not just that, it looked worse for non-color books compared to an older Kindle I had... I ended up returning the colorsoft

I got a color kindle a few months ago from a SD post. It hung up and required hard rebooting a few times, then stopped charging. I sent it back the last day of the return window.

I miss my kindle oasis with the buttons: that was a good piece of engineering and design.

This seems like a decent deal if you have an old Kindle you can trade in. I've never seen one of these in the wild, I get the impression that they're not selling very well. So maybe the price will drop even further if you're patient.....

Really good deal. I have it synced up to my local library's Libby app. Amazon plays the middle man on the book syncs. I do think these e-readers are overpriced. But I enjoy reading on it and does not hurt my eyes. Battery life is amazing.

One of the best in the color eink market with one of the worst ecosystems. Really tempting but considering how Amazon treats book "owners"...

Would be useful for technical books, and I do miss the color covers of Analog SF&F, but not for this price.

I can see this being worthwhile for those who read comics and other books with colorful illustrations. However, if one is just reading regular books, I think it's a whole lot of extra cost for nothing.

Thanks OP!
Grabbed one for the kid. I personally prefer the Paperwhite, but my kid will enjoy the colorful version much more. With the trade-in discount, it came out to about $150.
Can I return the accessories in the bundle? I have too many chargers and cases. Will returning them affect the price?

Yeah, I tried. She has two paperwhites right now and reads over 100 books a year. None of them graphics - as she reminded me.
