Yeah, and it's already mentioned everywhere in the post. That's the whole purpose of this post.
I was replying to the previous post that said "Chromebooks are on notice" because of the MacBook Neo. I don't think an open box price is evidence that Chromebook prices are dropping because of the Mac.

It's understood but some here are just eternally grumpy (in lieu of harsher words)

Definitely not "understood" when the comment was made not in reply to the first comment but one on its own. That comment could easily pass as one just referring to the deal here.
No need to build a straw man just to fit your agenda.

Chromebooks like mine has touchscreen. I will NOT buy laptops without touchscreen. It does not have lighted keyboard but that is OK as I can bend the screen forward slightly and light up the keyboard when needed. It does most everything I need to do. I paid 150 new at Costco awhile back.
I really don't understand these, maybe someone can help me understand why you would get this, when for the same price you can get a far more capable laptop, with 50% faster CPU, double ram, quadruple storage etc.
I have one for 3 months (with dual Lunix installed). It does have enough power for everyday tasks, a perfectly bright screen, and a good backlit keyboard. It is very lightweight for 15''.
But my previous Chromebook Plus from Samsung was much better. Better screen ratio, 2-in-1 design, touchscreen, much longer battery time, never overheated.
