If you need another tool, or are willing to do the "hack", check Home Depot. $349 for the same combo with an extra tool or 6ah flexvolt battery

I got this with two of the 3/9ah batteries for $350 last year, this isn't quite as good a deal but the tool itself is excellent and you can use the power head with many different brands attachments. I've got the RYOBI tiller, a cheap HART brush cutter, and I had the hart snow thrower but it bent on me after a few uses.

I have two of the 972's and they are workhorses, BUT the reason that I have two is because the first one kept cutting off while edging, when it hit something with a little resistance. I'd have to let up on the trigger including the annoying safety mechanism, before it would restart?
I emailed DeWalt and they sent me a "new" or "new 1" multi head, but the second one did the same exact thing. Every time the blade nicked the concrete while edging, I would have to let off the trigger and safety and start over?

I have Dewalt everything including $1500 in batteries, but this 972 issue made me switch over my edger and string trimmer to Ego and I never have this issue any longer.

Maybe just bad luck on my part with two flaky units and some say it's designed to shut down when it hits something which makes since, but my two do this even when hitting something a little tough that's not solid like concrete?
This is while using the 9aH battery or the 12ah so....

Hart attachments are on clearance near me, just got a pole saw, cultivator for $50 each. Brush cutter and hedge trimmer were also available.

Cool, I didn't know that. I might look into the hedge trimmer from one of those brands.

I think with hart sometimes you get what you pay for (see: electric shovel) but my brush cutter has been fantastic, if you've got some heavier brush to clear I definitely recommend it with the 60v power head

I wrapped the safety switch with a bungee cord, but mine does shut off sometimes when the going gets tough, if it hits a tree it can't chop through with the brush cutter for example, but I believe it's to spare the power head stripping some internal mechanism

I only need them for small jobs, would go Craftsman or something similar if I really needed the tool.
