This foldable AOVOPRO scooter stands out as a strong budget commuter with easy setup, app pairing, and real world speeds that can reach the low 20s in sport mode. The 10 inch tires and dual suspension help soften bumps, and the build quality feels better than expected for the price. The app can also restrict speed, which is useful for younger riders or hilly routes. Main cautions are the inconsistent speed claims, with some reports closer to 15 to 17 mph, plus braking and solid tire handling that feel less reassuring at higher speeds. A practical pick if you value value and adjustability over premium ride feel.

Common Questions (5)

  • It can hit 22 mph in sport mode, with lower modes around 7 mph in eco and 11 mph in drive. Several riders also report more typical real-world speeds around 15-18 mph on flat ground, with low-20s more likely downhill or with lighter riders.

  • Yes. The AOVOPRO app can speed-restrict the scooter and also change the max speed, which is useful for kids or hilly areas. One owner also noted the scooter needs the mobile app to activate the lock and set the speed limit.

  • The solid, squared-off tires can feel every bump and make turning more demanding, especially above about 10 mph. The dual suspension should help with vibration, but the setup still calls for extra caution on rough pavement and when cornering.

  • The front electronic brake is not described as regenerative charging in normal use; the rear brake is a drum brake. The left thumb piece is the folding latch, not a brake control, so braking comes from the front electronic and rear drum setup.

  • A practical range around 15 miles is reported for everyday use, with nightly charging. That lines up with short commutes and errands, but it is below the advertised 22-mile figure.

Anyone get there's? Got mine, rides great but braking is unacceptable. Seems like just a drum break in the rear or something. Does your electric brake work? I'm guessing it's the clip type thumb push thing on the left handle bar? Mine does absolutely nothing when pushed.
The braking didn't seem horrible to me. According to the attached image from the manufacturer product page, there is a front electronic brake and rear drum brake.

The clip type thumb push thing on the left handle bar is the locking mechanism when you fold it. It should latch on to the hook on the rear fender. There's another thumb thing on the left handle bar which is the bell.

Received mine yesterday and gave it a test ride. Surprisingly nice build quality for the price. I recorded 7 mph in eco mode, 11 mph in drive mode, and 22 mph in sport mode.

My braking sucks too. I wonder if something is off on ours.

Maybe this will help us... I'll try it in the next day or two.

Mine arrived today. As others have said, the set up is easy and fast. I took it for a test spin and it's extremely bouncy, so bad to where it makes you feel like the insides of your brain and ears are rattling around.

Anyone know how to adjust the shocks on these?

Yea, it's a somewhat rough ride, but not as bad as a solid tire Razor scooter. I wonder if pneumatic tires would make a big difference.

We have another scooter that has tubes for the tires and no shocks so this we bought this one to try out the version with shocks and solid tires. Not getting a flat sounded nice but the ride isn't as smooth as the tires with inner tubes.
