This Anker flat plug power strip stands out for its low profile design and handy outlet spacing, especially where a slim plug helps hide cords behind a TV or other tight setup. The six AC outlets and two USB A and two USB C ports cover basic charging needs, and the strip works well as a simple power strip for adapters and larger plugs. The main caveat is value, since similar strips are available for less, and the USB ports have reported reliability issues, including flickering lights and needing to replug devices. Surge protection also matters here, since the listing and comments point to only 300 joules.
Common Questions (4)
Yes, the product description shows 300 joules of surge protection. It also lists a 10A maximum current and 240V rating, so it is meant for basic surge protection rather than heavy-duty protection.
The AC outlets work normally, but the USB ports can be inconsistent. Some units need the cable unplugged and replugged to start charging, and the USB output can cause LED lights to flicker when used with lights.
If you need more AC outlets or more USB-C ports, the newer model with 8 outlets may be the better fit for about $4 more. This 6-outlet version is more limited on outlet count and may not suit setups that need extra Type-C charging.
Yes, the low-profile flat plug can fit in the unused space behind LG OLED G-series TVs with LG's mounting solution, including a G3 setup. That makes it useful for cleaner cable management when powering the TV, soundbar, or USB devices from one wall cable.
