I feel like these should come with 2 probes for fridge and freezer.

Being USB, there are certainly workarounds, but considering power outages and breaker trips would probably be the most likely trigger (unless someone leaves the door open), losing simultaneous power to both the fridge/freezer and alert device makes it useless for many scenarios.

I have this one and I have it configured to alert me if it goes offline with both plugged into the same outlet, and it does alert me every time.

I think they did that so the buyer can see the product prominently. I'm guessing you would install the mount to the side of the fridge and go in from the hinged side when you want it there. At least I hope so 🤣
