I'm surprised to realize how much more useful it is to have a built-in button and a hole in it.
That being said, I wish we could have UWB support enabled as well; it seems no Android tracker can play the trick yet.

I paid $45 during a previous deal. These have a button (does not work with my s25, should have been ringing my phone when pressed) and a ring that makes them more useful because you don't have to shop around for airtag cases. I think they are less useful than airtags because they do not support finding the tag when you are close by. Was never successful finding my car at a costo parking lot unlike airtags could do.

S25 ultra has UWB as well - and these work amazing. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds on the tag it will find your phone. The app supports location history, map view, and "nearby" access - where you can track it down to the foot using a weaker/stronger signal icon on the screen.
I already have 4, I picked up for about $45 (the used like new amazon sale) - but 4 more at 8 bucks a pop is too tempting to resist.

Mine is a quick double tap/press to find my phone.

No, base S25/S26 models lack the hardware for UWB.
EDIT: For clarification, Plus and Ultra models have always supported UWB and still do in the S25/S26 gens.

That explains why Woot! has been been selling these for about half of a year.

For clarification, base (smallest) S2# models never had UWB support, but Plus and Ultra models always did and still do.
