I know there's a lot of opinions about types of pumps and engines.... What's everyone's thoughts on this particular model?

Been watching for a good gas washer for a while. And with planning to use it more than just an occasional car/sidewalk/siding wash, I'm planning to look for a more pricier unit with Honda motor and good pump (Cat, General, Udor). Buy once/cry once IMO

We're these the same ones on sale in the fall? Are they being discontinued?

I was wondering the same thing. Made by the same company. It is a bigger stronger engine. Generally used on larger pressure washers. Maybe it won't bog down as much? but pressure ends up being the same either way.

TSC pricing is regional. Try switching to a different store to see if you can achieve the posted price.

Looks like a good price. In my past experience, I rarely got more than two seasons out of any axial drive pump before finally going all in with a triplex pump- but still this looks slick.

Last fall I bought the CRX210 for $191, delivered. If only I had a Time Machine.....
Not sure if the CRX 165 Engine is worth buying - and driving 30 minutes to pick it up for $219 + Tax

Here's a clear side-by-side:
Key Differences
Feature CRX165 CRX210
Displacement 163 cc (≈9.9 cu in) 208 cc (≈12.7 cu in)
Power 3.4 kW (~4.5 HP) 4.1 kW (~5.5 HP)
Torque 8.9 Nm 12.3 Nm
Weight ~34 lbs ~33 lbs
Typical Use Light–medium duty Medium–heavy duty

What that actually means
CRX165
Smaller engine
Uses less fuel
Good for lighter equipment (small pressure washers, tillers, etc.)
Comparable to a Honda GX160 class engine

CRX210
Bigger displacement = more power + more torque
Handles heavier loads without bogging down
Better for demanding equipment (larger pressure washers, log splitters, pumps)

⚙️ What's the same?
Both engines share:
Air-cooled, single-cylinder OHV design
Similar build quality (forged crankshaft, dual air filter, low oil shutdown)
Same general mounting and shaft style (often interchangeable in equipment)

They make great pressure washers. They make a lot of the pressure washers for other brands that typically have other specialties like Dewalt
