Yes, I have an old Garmin 935 and I can disable the built-in heart rate sensor and use H10 instead, far more accurate.

Wonder how much more accurate this is, compared to a whoop or other health monitors/watches.

Check out reviews by DC Rainmaker. He usually does a compare of wrist HR vs strap when reviewing a watch. He might just do Garmin, I forget. Strap is considered more accurate, but some watches get pretty close. My Garmin Vivoactive 4 wrist sensor was within 2-3 bpm of strap, always, and seemed to work well even when swimming. When I went to higher end Fenix 6 Pro and Fenix 7 Pro, neither was as consistent as a strap and were hit and miss when swimming, even though 7 Pro had an upgraded optical sensor.
Bottom line, if you are serious about the data, wear a strap. I almost always use one, relying on the optical wrist sensor only when doing things like skiing, swimming, or surfing.

This is a great monitor. I've been using one almost daily for a year and it performs flawlessly.
