I agree with you there. I'm a caddie at Pebble Beach and 99% of golfers are so inconsistent with hitting the ball that center of green distances via golf app watches are just fine. That said I measure every shot using a rangefinder purely for showmanship to earn a better tip.

I have this and am pleased with it, can be a little tough to lock in pins from further out but it's usually within a yard or two of my buddy's $300 Bushnell.

When you say from "further out", how far would you say roughly? 150yds? 200? More?

I'd say 200+, could be my shaky hands but takes a few clicks to lock in the flag

I used this same model most of last year. Never had to charge it once and I golf twice a week. It's a great device. I think I paid $90 for mine, so it is a steal at this price.

Seems like a great price for decent quality... but I just like to eyeball after using my gold watch, cant be bothered with another piece of hardware le playing golf. 99.99% of golfers dont need this anyways... get the yardage right by 3% is hardly their issue.

Sadly that is true... image > reality

I just might think about using a rangefinder if I were playing a money tournament but even then usually I would have information already on exact pin location on my book so.....

Just picked up a crossbow this winter. Any chance this would be good for archery ranges and hunting?

Distance is distance... It doesn't know what tool you are about to swing/shoot 😏

Oh, and it also says hunting right in the title 👍
