Very solid game. I got it recently too at a large discount, so far 22 hours in.
Compared to Jedi Fallen Order this one has a lot more side quests (called "rumors"). The different lightsaber stances are interesting and experiment with. BD1 the droid has some new functionalities you can use him. Also there are some new mechanics introduced for movement and fighting. The enemies look cool especially the droids and staff users.
Just got this - I never got into Fallen Order because there was no fast travel or waypoints. I hear that this one has fast travel, so it's easier to return to planets you've been before
Great price. Unlike first party Nintendo games that indefinitely seem to keep prices inflated, Star Wars games reach a much larger audience than they'd otherwise reach since games can be picked up at a substantial discount after initial sales from the hardcore fans die down.
I really enjoyed this game. I think Fallen Order is probably a better overall game (although this game doesn't have the mess that was navigating Dathomir), but if you liked FO, you'll enjoy this, and if you played FO and couldn't get into it for whatever reason, this one isn't likely to change your mind. This is an excellent price.
I beat this game on PS5 and I've been playing it on GrandMaster with raytracing+DLSS and whatnot. It looks really good.
But holy shit, the EA store sucks so much on proton. This game refuses to start half the time, I find adding or removing the "-window" argument fixes it sometimes. Seems like a borderless window vs not issue.
Also if I enable frame gen the game crashes after about an hour. One time it tried to look at memory at the address -1 so I guess if I had negative RAM it would have worked. It's a great looking game and super fun but as software it's poorly written and doesn't seem to be maintained.
A fantastic Souls-lite game. If you enjoy Star Wars or the genre, you'll enjoy this. The gameplay has been improved in basically every way from Jedi: Fallen Order.
