Recommend getting an i7 and 16GB; while memory is upgradeable to 64GB (2 slots), the cost of new memory these days is outrageous.

I have a couple of these refurbs. I found in both cases that the thermal compound on the CPU/GPU is dried and crusty causing the laptops to thermal throttle badly. Its a very easy fix and using PTM7950 dropped the temps from 100c to a max of 65c during cinebench heat runs. After that they are pretty zippy and a great deal on a small form laptop.

Refurbished and a 6 year old processor. $200 is cheap but this thing isn't exactly cutting edge.

I used the coupon on one of the 7670. Paid $800 for 64GB, i7-12850HX and RTX A2000. I do have some regrets as it's pretty old now, but it will do what I need it to just fine. 30% gain on single core speeds over the newer 7 240h that I was going to buy from another deal.It is going to be my CAD/CAM computer and I'd say it was a pretty good price.

What are you saying? I have purposefully stayed on Windows 10 on most of my computers because Windows 11 seems to have issues. But updating to windows 11 is super easy. At any point you would be able to install windows 11 on it, either from windows or from a USB.

Doesn't cost to make a bootable flash drive and install Windows 11 yourself...takes 15 minutes and the product key should automatically work since it's tied to the motherboard.
