it's chinese, but DJI is a chinese company so that makes sense. the long company name isn't just somebody faking a company name, it's called "pinyin"... it's basically chinese transliterated into english syllables.

so if you break it down

Hangzhou (杭州): the city (capital of Zhejiang province, China)
Maisong (麦松 / 迈松 / etc.): likely a brand or company name (exact characters can vary)
Dianzishangwu (电子商务): "electronic commerce" (e-commerce)
Youxian Gongsi (有限公司): "limited company" (Co., Ltd.)


so this company is "Hangzhou Maisong E-Commerce Co."

TL;DR: if you read that "hangzhoumaisong...", you're basically just saying the company's name in chinese.

But item is shipped from Amazon. If Amazon didn't hold the inventory, then they wouldn't be the ones shipping it.Not sure what your concern is here. There are many sellers for these now that DJI is essentially banned and you are protected by Amazon for items like this.

Warning on he app. Google is shutting the door on side loaded apps soon on the next android revision. App won't be functional unless they get this back on the playstore.
Take that for what it's worth .

While it will be much harder, Google says they are not completely removing the ability for users to install unverified apps.

I think the bigger concern is that you will always have to download the app from DJI, which means that the code has not been reviewed by a "trusted 3rd party" like Google/Apple to screen for security issues and/or embedded spyware.

It's a known risk - that doesn't mean that the drone isn't a good product. Everyone individually has to decide if they are willing to tolerate that risk
