Just beware when buying from Best Buy I don't know if this is new they have second party people selling under the Best Buy name not a fan of that

The real deals here are the PlayStation Fortnite bundles which are $100 less than other pricing and $200 less than they'll be on the 2nd. Wanted to make the thread so anyone on the fence about purchasing had time to before the price increases next week.

I agree with this comment. I'll speak for myself but I suspect I'm not alone. If I want something bad enough, I'll pay msrp and buy it at launch. If I decide to wait, I've got this in the back of my mind and if I see a good deal down the road, I'll pull the trigger. If I get tired of waiting and prices aren't dropping, I might pull the trigger at msrp. If my desire for it wanes, I might not buy it at all even if the price drops. PS5 has been out over 5 years. The grandmas and new gamer examples some are citing are the minority if they are even real. Once people stop buying at these ridiculous price points, they will have no choice but to reduce the prices due to lack of sales. But when people keep buying at these ridiculous price points, these companies start to feel like we need them more than they need us and they will test the waters for their future products to be ridiculously priced. But unfortunately, people cannot help themselves and we all lose the popular sovereignty battle when too many people compulsively buy no matter the cost.

$900 for a console? What is Sony Smoking?

You can get a prebuilt PC for this price that will outperform the PS5 Pro by a large margin in every way and be useful for other things too.
