This RIDGID starter kit pairs two 4.0 Ah 18V batteries with a charger and bag, making it a strong value for anyone who wants extra runtime without jumping to heavier packs. The 4 Ah size is called out as a sweet spot for weight and portability, and the included bag adds appeal. The kit also appears to line up with RIDGID's Max Output 4 Ah set, while the main caution is Home Depot's limited price adjustment policy, which may force a return and rebuy if the price drops.

The kit bundles two 4.0Ah batteries with a charger and bag for about $63.20, which can suit buyers who need extra batteries.

The included tool bag is a notable add-on for storage and carrying convenience.
Fondgain
The Max Output 2x4Ah starter kit batteries are described as the exact same items as this kit, which reduces uncertainty about the battery variant.
jus2sho2k
The kit can be appealing for users who prefer 2Ah or 4Ah battery sizes for weight and handling.

Home Depot may not offer price adjustments if the deal price drops, and it may require return and rebuy instead.
redshift11 Gor32
The kit's value may depend on whether a charger is actually needed, since a Max Output 2x6Ah option is listed on sale without a charger for $111.
patrick_dyson
The battery labeling and "Max Output" naming can be confusing, because Home Depot lists multiple 18V variants that appear to differ beyond branding.
-Gossamer-
Some buyers may be surprised that the kit includes the charger and manuals, which suggests the contents are not always obvious from the deal presentation.

Common Questions (4)

It includes two 4.0Ah batteries, a charger, and a bag for about $63.20. That makes it a better value if you need the charger or want the included tool bag, not just replacement batteries.
andkud Gor32 Fondgain
The Home Depot product Q&A states there is no difference and that they are the exact same items. A separate comment also notes RIDGID sells 18V, 18V Max Output, and 18V Max Output EXP batteries, so the naming can be confusing.
jus2sho2k -Gossamer-jus2sho2k
Home Depot reportedly will not price-adjust and instead requires a return and rebuy if the price goes lower. That matters if you want to lock in the deal now but hope for a future drop.
redshift11 Gor32
Yes, the kit is listed at $56.88 through the PX/ShopMyExchange Home Depot portal for eligible active-duty members and veterans. That route also avoids sales tax and shipping when the total is over $49.

Thank you. I didn't know this stuff was included. Thought it was just appliances.

Be careful though with exchange. They will NOT price adjust if it goes lower and will instead tell you to return/rebuy.

Hd told me to kick rocks the other day on a deal direct from them. Said to buy/return, so not much of a difference.

Obviously you need to be either active or a veteran to get this. Why is this better than military discount? in addition to the 10% military discount HD gives you pay no sales tax or shipping either as long as the total is >$49

Holy cow, TIL that I can get everythign at home depot through AAFES. Thank you
