With the news of sennheiser likely selling their consumer line and drop discontinuing the 6xx who knows what the new low will be for these. Definitely a lot better options in the 300usd range though

Edition xs at 200 refurbished plus coupon code is a great deal but you'll want something like a capra strap to improve headband comfort. The ananda stealth comes with an integrated strap but will sound brighter in comparison. I've personally had my eye on the Sony Mv1 which gets close to 300 during sales. There's also the sennheiser hd490 pro plus repack stock for 330 from alto audio which comes with a case, additional long cable and extra headband pad. The non-plus hd490 pro still comes with two pairs of different earpads, one with more accurate neutral tuning, the other with more bass emphasis but slightly degraded mids but none of the other accessories for 277 b-stock

Yes, adding the Capra strap should be mandatory if you get the Hifiman Edition XS, unless you have a big pumpkin head.

Hifiman includes sales tax in their prices, so you save enough between that and the coupon code to buy the $25 Capra strap. I think you can 3D print them if you have one of those, but don't know the details or if there is a cost for the file.

The Drop HD6xx is more like the HD650 which is darker. The HD600 are flatter and more neutral with a slightly better soundstage. Both are great, just depends on personal preference. I own the 6xx and HD800S. Tried HD600 but didn't keep it.
