A flat EDC flashlight with flood, spot, UV, and laser modes, this ArkPro Ultra stands out for its compact shape, strong brightness, and handy work features. The magnetic charger, dial switch, and lifetime warranty add to the appeal, and the UV and laser get real use for inspections, leaks, and pointing things out. The main knocks are the high price and built in battery, with some also wanting a deeper carry clip or cheaper alternatives. A specialized carry light with broad utility.

  • The flashlight can deliver a huge flood and strong spot beam for real task lighting.

  • The UV feature can help with termite checks, oil leak detection, and other inspection work.

  • The laser pointer can be useful for pointing out issues to clients during inspections.

  • The lifetime warranty can include free replacement after sending the flashlight back.

  • The price can feel unjustified because the laser pointer and overall design may seem gimmicky.

  • The built-in battery can make the flashlight potentially unusable once the battery fails.

  • Replacement batteries can be hard to find for this flashlight model.

  • The flat design may not fit comfortably in a jeans pocket and lacks a deep-carry pocket clip.

Okay, here's a dumb question: is it flat so that it will fit in a jeans pocket why no deep-carry pocket clip?

(Also: crazy expensive, my $0.02)

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best EDC light that has ever existed. It's flat, it has both flood and throw lights (uncommon and sooo useful), it has a laser (helps me at least a handful of times a week), UV (niche but helps a lot in my work, since it makes our graphite based lubricant glow, and it also makes our glycol glow). Also somewhat niche, but you can start fires with it (turbo for either beam, or high with the UV) without worrying about the lens, since it is glass. I use it almost every day even when I'm not at work, and I would gladly buy it again if I ever lost it.

Edit: And for what it's worth, Olight absolutely stands behind their products. My buddy got one, and the UV light wasn't as strong as it should be. They sent him a replacement with no questions asked, and he got it in the same week. I've never needed to warranty any of the ~10 Olight products I've ever owned, but I'd only be concerned if it's a product that is discontinued. This product probably isn't discontinuing any time soon

The dial switch is worth the premium over shitty multibutton controls.

If you want alternatives with the same features and you don't mind the flashlight being about 3 times the size of this one, for half the price there's the wurkkos hd02. The hd01 pro is almost the same size but loses the rotating switch for about a third of the price of this. None of the wurkkos have battery indicator tho and they ship from China.

It has a lifetime warranty, send it back and they replace it free of charge.
That's one reason I've "overpaid" on a couple of their lights, but with their recent discontinuing of almost all their midrange flashlights it has you wondering... (plus their weird attempts at branching out then cutting ties). The whole thing feels like mismanagement and not something you see from a stalwart brand where you don't doubt if they'll be around in 5 years.

Slickdeals sucks compared to what it used to be back in the day. Now it's an advertisement forums for Chinese products that suck. I wouldn't be surprised if the people commenting positively are reps with the companies.

Great products, probably not the pinnacle of value for the SD shopper, but if you love a flashlight and a well-made thing, pretty great.

For a little less, the Ark Pro is awesome too.

Yes I'm a professional flashlight and I can confirm these too are flashlights, we've worked together in the field. They have a good attitude and are hard workers, would work together again

It's a great light, love mine. Super bright, huge flood, battery lasts a very long time, laser is powerful and you can see the whole beam in most dark areas. UV is handy for cleaning and identifying various things you'd never normally see. Built like a tank. Great edc light.
Dont take it to a hotel room.

I might be missing something here, but I'd think a Sofirn or Wurkkos would be extremely close or better in specs for 80% less money.

SD has changed quite a bit since I got on here. Once they started doing paid placements it changed forever and that was a long long time ago.

What do sponsored posts have to do with these? People have been raving about the new olight products for a couple years.

If you can't afford a $100 edc light dont get one..

I got lucky and got this on sale for $99, and they shipped 2 by accident. Gave my brother one as a gift and he also loves it.

The non-ultra Arkpro is the best value.

It's a lot to pay to add a $2 laser pointer into a flashlight in cool white (low CRI) with a built in battery. I imagine it is trash once the battery goes, but maybe they will replace it assuming they stay in business?
Not a pro but I have a step down version of this. The UV light is better than a lot of cheap uv flashlights. Having a flood, spot, uv, and laser all in one with usb-c charging OR a base charger is pretty night. It's small, light, and powerful. Battery seems pretty decent. I use the UV for disc golf and it makes a glow disc light up pretty fast.
Side note, don't take the UV light in the bathroom. No matter how clean you think it is, it's not.
