Dell's 31.6 inch 4K QD OLED monitor stands out for its vivid picture, glossy finish, and smooth 120 hertz refresh, with strong results for gaming and everyday desktop use. The built in speakers are unusually capable for a monitor, and USB C makes it easy to connect and charge a laptop, with enough rear space to hide a small hub for a cleaner setup. The main drawbacks are limited connectivity, with no DisplayPort and only one HDMI port, plus brightness that runs lower than expected. Text on dark backgrounds can also be less comfortable than IPS, making it a solid fit when image quality matters most.
Laptop workers who want a single USB-C display, because it can charge and connect a laptop while keeping a clean desk setup.
The built-in speakers are unusually strong for a gaming monitor, with 5 speakers totaling 25W. They are also reported to sound better than a MacBook Pro's speakers.
The picture quality is described as very good, vivid, and glossy, with 120Hz feeling great for refresh. It is also noted as a strong budget OLED option, though brightness is lower than average.
It lacks a built-in dock/hub and KVM-style switching, and using two computers may require a USB-C to DisplayPort bi-directional cable. USB-A ports are also limited, which can be inconvenient for wireless receivers.
A USB-C cable is included, and it works with a MacBook Pro for charging and display. There is no DisplayPort, only one HDMI port, and the HDMI cable is not included.
It can work well for office use with a clean single USB-C setup, and there is enough space behind the monitor to hide a mini USB hub. A firmware update is needed to fix a macOS bug that blocks variable refresh rate when HDR is enabled, and the update requires a Windows PC.
I got this at Costco for $500. 1.A USB-C cable is included, and it works perfectly with my 16" MacBook Pro. 2.There is no DisplayPort and only one HDMI port. An HDMI cable is not included. 3.The speakers are impressive. 4.This monitor is best suited for non-gaming purposes as a single display. Hope this helps!
I also have this monitor but the audio quality is definitely worse than MacBook Pro...like it is not even close to

how is the text display on this? I always heard OLED is bad for text?

I got this from Costco during the $450 sale. I can confirm the sound from a Macbook Pro is way better. While this is definitely better than most cheap computer monitors, it's not as impressive as it is made out to be. However the monitor picture quality is fantastic minus the lower than average brightness.
One tip I do have is to update the firmware on the monitor to fix a bug on macOS where it doesn't allow variable refresh rate while HDR color is enabled. You do need a Windows computer to update the firmware though.

I've had this for a few days now, using it for viewing databases and api output. It's not great, especially when you want to use a black background with white text. A little bit better the other way around, but still can't compete with IPS.

Thanks. I was in the loop of the decisions and you made me break out not to buy..
Bought this for the $450 price at Costco and cannot fault it at all. The picture is great and the gloss I haven't noticed any issues with as I was worried I might. So far the only annoyance is the connectivity, I use 2 computers, 1 which I had to buy a USB-C to DP bi-directional cable for connection to my PC. I don't much care about the USB connectivity on the monitor or the speakers, but so far the picture is just really great and the 120hz has been awesome for refresh. I could not find a better option at this price point, so highly recommend it if you need the OLED goodness and can deal with the HDMI and USB-C-to-DP port cables.
